Great American Air Hockey
Great American offers exceptionally well designed air hockey tables, including the new Boom-a-Rang style. The Boom-a-Rang takes an entirely new approach to the game, since players stand side by side rather than on opposite ends of the table. The playing surface is almost square (60 x 62") rather than rectangular. The wide goals are also side by side, in front of each player. A tapered divider runs down the middle, and the opposite end is formed into a rounded backboard. A player shoots the puck so that it banks off the backboard toward the opponent's goal. The design of this table makes for a fun and unique experience, especially if you choose the model with electronic scoring. The standard design uses a blue Formica playing field with red and yellow plywood cabinet, but custom colors are also available. On the practical side, this new design has a much smaller footprint than the standard air hockey table, and can be placed against a wall or even in a corner to save space.
