Shuffle Board Equipment
The most important consideration for your shuffleboard table is maintaining the speed and condition of the playing surface. This surface is made of solid wood (usually maple) or Armor Top, the same material used in many bowling alleys. Each manufacturer has a proprietary method of finishing the surface, but you'll usually have to recondition it if it begins to lose speed. We also have silicon spray, which give extra zip to the surface and can help cut down on the usage of powder wax. We carry that wax, too. Small particles of wax, often mistaken for sand, allow the puck to glide as smoothly and speedily as possible. We have several varieties; try them all and pick your favorite. We also carry pucks (weights), which you can purchase singly or as a full set. A fitted heavy duty vinyl cover with fabric backing will help protect your table, and we have them in sizes for 9, 12, or 14-foot tables. Unless your table has built-in rail scoring, you'll want a scorer. We offer oak and mahogany manual scorers and a classic abacus scoring system. We also carry electronic scorers in several styles. Check our catalog for the style you want, and keep in mind that not all scorers fit all tables.
